Modern music remembers genocide in Holocaust Remembrance Series

Speaker Phil Holtje gave a presentation titled “Modern Music that Remembers Genocide” in Hart Chapel Monday evening. Holtje was the 28th speaker that was brought in through the Holocaust Remembrance Series, chaired by mathematics professor Steve Gendler. The program was also co-sponsored by the Office of Social Equity and the Seifert Foundation.
The program began with opening remarks from Gendler and President Karen Whitney, who welcomed the Clarion community, students and residents, to the event. Holtje then moved to talk about how pop culture influences society.
