Inaccurate reporting, lazy journalism make for bad mix

Last week, it was apparent that one company did Clarion no favors by publishing that the university is the fifth most dangerous college in the nation. Furthermore, a media group made things worse by not verifying the information and checking facts.
In general, it is just never a good thing when an innocent party gets harmed because of the mistakes of another party, and a third party repeats the mistake.
