The first EP of an expected trilogy of albums came from the group EARTHGANG on Sept. 1, 2017. Titled “Rags,” the extended play features five tracks, plus features from Mick Jenkins, Childish Major and J.I.D. A fresh sound on the market, the group gives listeners a funky, psychedelic beat, clever lyricism and honey-dewed vocals. Fans can expect more album releases to finish out the trilogy for 2017.

Announcing the second EP titled “Robots” to come out Oct. 20, 2017, the duo stays out of the mainstream rap industry, but is having their own fun creating work in the background. Receiving much deserved acclaim from J.Cole, who called them one of Atlanta’s most relatable acts, it is apparent they will not remain in the background for long. The duo also announced their first single to drop this Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.

Taking flight back in 2008 out of Atlanta, Georgia, EARTHGANG has been behind the scenes of the industry for quite some time.

Their very first EP, “The Better Party,” still resembles their unique sound, and plays on lyricism one would hear on the latest release. Creating and evolving over the next several years, EARTHGANG has developed and grown to be the duo they are now. Throwing out a wild card by releasing a trilogy of EP’s, they have made a move on the industry that has never been seen before. Telling a story through each one, fans can only anticipate the next releases to follow “Rags.”

EARTHGANG is composed of Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot, signed by Dreamville Records. They are available on Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, Deezer, iHeartRadio and PlayMusic. The duo’s unique sound is perfect for any rap, R&B, funkadelic and soul music lovers out there. EARTHGANG is also available on SoundCloud, and have several singles to vibe to, along with five EP’s. For a fresh new sound out of the industry, give the duo a listen.
