Clarion’s soccer team put up fierce fights this past week.
Unfortunately, that hard work resulted in two losses.
In its first game of the week, Clarion took on Slippery Rock.
The game looked promising, as Clarion jumped out to a 2-0 start.
Aaliyah Odom lit up the scoreboard with a goal at the 2:07 mark of the contest.
Meliah Roman and Erin Rodgers assisted on the goal.
No even a minute later, Marina Kelly put in another goal at the 2:39 mark.

Despite giving up a goal midway through the first half, Clarion still held onto the lead until Slippery Rock scored the equalizer at 53:52 in the match.
Slippery Rock set the final score in stone with a goal at the 60:14.
Clarion amassed eight shots in the contest, four of which were on goal.
Krista Mosi stopped eight shots for the Eagles.
Clarion traveled to Shippenburg University for its next match.
Like Déjà Vu, Odom got the Eagles the lead with her goal at 10:08.
Roman assisted on the successful shot.
Clarion maintained its 1-0 leading until the 75:39 mark of the game.
Shippenburg leveled the score with a goal of its own.
At 87:53, the Raiders finished of the Eagles with its second goal of the day.
The final score of this hard fought game was established, 2-1.
Clarion collected seven shots against Shippenburg, and they only had one shot on goal.
Krista Mosi blocked six of Shippenburg’s shots.
Shippenburg didn’t record any saves in the match.
Clarion’s season will soon come to a close, with two games left in the season.
Clarion hits the road against West Chester on Saturday for its next match.

Its final match features a showdown between Bloomsburg University in Clarion.
The team plays that contest commences at 7 p.m. on Oct. 29.
