With Thanksgiving right around the corner—next week—it’s time to start watching your favorite Thanksgiving-themed episodes. This year, Netflix is the place to go for all of the best classic episodes.
“Bob’s Burgers:” In season three, episode five of the hilarious animated show, Bob lets Mr. Fischoeder borrow his family so that he can impress a love interest from his past. With the family gone, though, Bob won’t be able to hold his usual holiday traditions. In season four, episode five, Bob’s Thanksgiving plans are ruined when his cooked turkey is thrown into a toilet. Oh, no!
“Friends:” There’s a handful of Thanksgiving episodes for the classic show about a dysfunctional group of friends. Season five, episode eight shows the group as they talk about their worst Thanksgiving memories. It’s also the episode in which Chandler tells Monica that he loves her! In season 10, episode eight, Monica is angered when everyone shows up late to her Thanksgiving. The good news, though, is that she and Chandler have been chosen to adopt someone’s baby! Other holiday episodes include season one, episode nine and season three, episode nine.
“Grey’s Anatomy:” The medical drama has two Thanksgiving episodes: season two, episode nine and season 10, episode 10. Of course, both include the holiday being awry for the residents of the hospital. Drama, drama, drama.
“How I Met Your Mother:” The insanely popular and funny TV show has a smorgasbord of Thanksgiving episodes, including the infamous “Slapsgiving” episode (season three, episode nine), as well as the sequel episodes “Slapsgiving 2: Revenge of the Slap” (season five, episode nine) and “Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra” (season nine, episode 14). It’s the slap that keeps on giving!
“New Girl:” The Zooey Deschanel comedy has three Thanksgiving-themed episodes available, including season two, episode eight when Jess creates a “Parent Trap” plan after her divorced parents come to Thanksgiving. Others include season one, episode six and season three, episode 10.
If you want new Thanksgiving-themed episodes, you can watch an assortment on TV this year. The Food Network has tons of new episodes that will have your mouth watering in anticipation for the holiday, and there are tons of comedies with new episodes, including: “Crazy Ex-girlfriend,” “The Middle,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “The Grinder” and “Scream Queens.”
Also, be sure to watch the three different Thanksgiving parades, all on Thanksgiving Day: “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” and “Thanksgiving Day Parade” both in New York City and “McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade” in Downtown Chicago.
