As 2015 draws to a close, musical artists continue to release huge hit singles that radios will be blasting into the new year.

Some of these singles are returns for artists who have been distant from the music industry from months to years. The following are singles from pop artists whose music deserves recognition.

NBC’s “The Voice” judge Gwen Stefani has returned to music with her newest single “Used to Love You,” which is part of her upcoming 2016 album. Lots of buzz has been going around about this emotional ballad because it is about Stefani’s ex-husband Gavin Rossendale. This song is one of Stefani’s best singles of her career.

The vocally-gifted Ariana Grande released her new single “Focus” last month. Fans of the “Victorious” alumna have been waiting for new material, and now is the time. The single is reminiscent of Grande’s previous album “My Everything.” “Focus” has a great beat and a catchy chorus, which makes it a perfect choice for a first single off her upcoming album “Moonlight.” Grande promises her new album will sound completely different from “Focus.”

One Direction has released many songs recently for its anticipated album, “Made in the A.M.” The single “Love You Goodbye” stands out from the rest, however. The love ballad has a beautiful beginning with violins, and it is a jam fans will want to hear live in concert.

Pia Mia is a newcomer pop artist not many people have on their radars. The 19-year-old Guam native beauty is known for being best friends with Kylie Jenner. Pia Mia sang a rendition of Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home,” which went viral on YouTube several years ago. Now she has grown bigger with the hit singles “Do It Again” and “Touch.” Pia Mia has such a beautiful voice, and she deserves to become a pop princess.

Justin Bieber is a name you cannot go on a social network without seeing or hearing. He may have drama sparking in the tabloids, but he still deserves to be heard in the music world. The talented Canadian is proving he is back and at his best. Bieber’s new single “Sorry” is so addictive that you will want to dance whenever you hear it. “Sorry” confirms to fans that Bieber’s music has been worth the long wait.

The world has waited more than four years for the return of award-winning Adele with her new single “Hello.” Social media blew up the day “Hello” was released. The single has been worth the wait, and most fans probably know every word to “Hello.” Adele’s album “25” is the most anticipated album of 2015, and I have a feeling the impact on fans will be huge.
