With the season coming to an end, the Clarion Men’s Golf team visited the Bud Elwell Invitational at Gannon this past Monday.
Leading the way was Clarion senior Adam Harrington, who finished second individually in the tournament.
Harrington shot a 77 on Sunday and then finished strong on Monday with an even par 72 score.
Harrington has led the team in scoring in another tournament this year, as he finished first in the team’s first tournament of the season.
The Golden Eagles ended up in sixth place overall in the invitational, nine teams attended the contest.
Mercyhurst was the eventual winner of the tournament with a team score of 605 (+29), they were followed by West Chester and Allegheny College.
Others contributing for the Golden Eagles were sophomores Sean Edgar, Loran Dukate, senior Logan Ashberry and senior Logan Depto.
Edgar and Dukate finished tied for 29th.
Clarion has had a somewhat successful campaign this year as they have finished third, 10th, 12th,and sixth in their respective tournaments.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action Oct. 18 when the PSAC Championships begin in Hershey.
The team will then dismiss for the winter and start again in the spring for a new season.
