“I actually didn’t know I won at that moment, I thought I had a good chance, looking at the results of the previous years, so when I made that last 20 footer, I thought I had a real good chance to win.”
“It feels good to get my first win,” said Harrington, “You work hard for a lot of years not knowing if it’s going to pay off, and it did.”
Harrington is only planning to play in four events this season.
“Well I saw my class schedule, and I am here to get an education and get a job. I’m not going to turn professional or anything so I told my coach I couldn’t play this season, and he came back with me to counter offer, that I just play in two tournaments in the spring and two in the fall, and I would do more if I could.”
