Harrington comes out as top performer in Clarion men’s golf weekend invitational

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Adam Harrington led the Clarion Golden Eagle men’s Golf team over the weekend.
Harrington finished tied for 18th.
He finished with a score of 148.
The team as a whole finished 10th on the tournament.
The Golden Eagles competed in the Cecil Spadafora Golf Invitational on Monday afternoon which was hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Harrington recorded rounds of 72 and 76.
“I kept the ball in the fairways and hit the ball low to avoid the wind.” Harrington said.
This was a 36 round tournament. Harrington wasn’t the only one who added to the Golden Eagles performance on Monday afternoon.
Seniors Alex Angelone, Mike Pope, Nathan Sainovich and Adam Timchak aslo added to the performance for the Golden Eagles.
Angelone and Pope so happened to finish tied for 59.
Angelone finished with a score of 79 and 77.
Pope, on the other hand, scored 70 and 86.
In the team competition, Indiana University was able to finish in first place.
The eight other teams that finished in front of the Golden Eagles were California University of Pennsylvania, Adelphi, Millersville, Charleston, West Chester, St. Thomas Aquinas, Davis & Elkins College and Mercyhurst University.
“I am going to hit a lot of balls on the driving range and play some golf on the course as well,” Harrington said about his preparation for the next invitational.
